If you’ve never heard of Uber, it’s time you do. Not only is it one of the fastest growing technology companies in Silicon Valley, it is also a software company that connects drivers and riders. Recently, Fast Company named Uber the #1 Innovative Company in Mobile, and #6 Most Innovative Company – ahead of likes of Samsung, Google, and Apple!

To date, I’ve taken 5 Uber rides or so, and I’ve got to say, they really add a whole new dimension to the term “traveling in style” (think high-end vehicles including Mercedes S-Class and E-Class, BMW 5 and 7-Series, and largecapacity MPV vans). Compared to dialing for a cab, Uber definitely has a much faster respond time. In fact, trying to get hold of a cab during peak periods was one of the main reason for me wanting to get my own car.

The fare for each ride is based on time and distance traveled for each trip. You can even get a fare quote via their app just to see if the price is right for you before confirming your Uber black car. Everything is settled via your app, from requesting for a black car, to paying for the ride. You don’t even need to whip out any cards or cash – the fare is seamlessly charged to your credit card, and the invoice is emailed to you thereafter.

• If a troupe is available, you, your friends, colleagues and family will get your own personal lion dance within minutes!
• No cash required! The dances will be charged directly to your Uber account.

Lion Dance On-Demand is at S$50, and will be available on Wednesday, 29 January, from 9am to 6pm.
