adidas Originals Celebrates Original Startups in Singapore

adidas2

We all love adidas for various reasons, and here’s adding one more to your books: adidas is teaming up with four unique start-ups in Singapore to tell their original story. adidas Originals is showcasing a hip four-part documentary-style video series – adidas Originals team-ups, that focuses on each company’s originality as a business, unique roots and trend-setting outlook.

While this contemporary concept is both fresh and exciting, it should come as no surprise that it is driven by adidas Originals, which is already well-known for their penchant for discovering originality and celebrating businesses that are forward thinking, creative and making a statement in the Singapore landscape. This project is very much aligned to their brand’s value of innovation for the modern day, while staying true to its heritage and values. Now, adidas Originals wants to bring you on a journey to meet these businesses that share similar brand values. It is always amazing when large corporations start taking note of up-and-coming startups in our own local space, and we’re eager to see where this collaboration takes them.

The series kicks off with Tommy Ong, owner of Wheeler’s Yard, a bicycle workshop selling 80′s inspired single-gear bicycles that also doubles up as yet another (hipster) cafe that all coffee-crazed Singaporeans should visit. In the docu-video, Tommy shares about his inspiration behind the business and the effort he placed into keeping the venue of his business unchanged and true to its original style. This collaboration also sees the re-launch of the iconic ZX shoes that were created as an ode to the pioneers and technologies that brought the shoe industry to the next level.

Find out more about the Wheeler’s Yard story and how you can win a pair of ZX shoes and a lunch treat for two at Wheeler’s Yard at the adidasSG Facebook page.
